EG GROUP COMPLETES DIVESTMENT OF REMAINING UK FORECOURT BUSINESS

BLACKBURN, 1st November 2024: EG Group, a leading international operator of convenience retail, foodservices and fuel stations, has completed the sale of its remaining UK forecourt business and certain foodservice locations to co-founder Zuber Issa. The transaction proceeds will be used to repay debt.

As previously announced, following completion of the transaction, Zuber has now stepped down from his executive leadership capacity at EG Group, becoming a non-executive director. Co-founder Mohsin Issa will lead the Group as sole CEO, working closely with the business’ highly experienced senior management team.

BLACKBURN, 11th December 2024: EG Group, a leading international operator of convenience retail, foodservice and fuel stations, today announces further progress with its deleveraging and refinancing strategy with the successful repricing of its EUR and USD Term Loans, and the full repayment of its second-lien facilities.
