EG Group is pleased to announce that EG Fuel, a wholly owned business division of EG Group, has partnered with KLM Equipment Services (KES), an independent subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, to supply its operations at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol with Neste MY Renewable Diesel™.

Neste MY Renewable Diesel™ is produced from 100% renewable raw material and is a drop-in fuel that does not require any modifications to existing vehicles or machines, energy systems or fuel distribution infrastructures.

KES will now supply the fuel to the 1,900 diesel-powered ground handling vehicles including cars, trucks and more specialised vehicles such as conveyor belt loaders and catering highlifts at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport. This will mark an important contribution towards Schiphol’s goal of achieving zero-emission ground operating in 2030.

EG Fuel is EG Group’s wholesale supply business, focused on the strategic and operational fuel supply and distribution in mainland Europe.

The vehicles for which there are currently no electric or hydrogen alternatives available can run on renewable diesel. Everyone on airside, where the loads are moved to or from the aircraft, is making use of it, including Aviapartner, dnata, Menzies, Swissport, KLM Ground Services and Viggo. We’re pleased about that. It’s also important that we all continue to expand the number of electric vehicles at Schiphol. We are also going to considerably expand the number of charging stations.”
